Money
Everyone starts off with 2,500 G, to either buy or build a house. There are a couple ways you can earn more money.
Manage A Store
Pros: One pro to owning a store is that you don't need to buy a house, you can live in the back of the shop. Also, you get the bulk of what you sell, and you can make your own hours.
Cons: One con is taxes. Basically, this is what taxes boil down to this. Every monday you go to the post ofifice and mail the taxes to the mayor.
Getting A Job
Pros: If owning a store and paying taxes isnt your thing, you can get a job. A big pro is you don't have to pay taxes on monday. Also, every worker gets one day off during the week, whatever day the owner can spare.
Cons: One con is that you dont get as much money as the owner. Another is you have to have your own house, and are at the will of your boss.
Working In A Farm
Crops, animals, and equpment will be explained in another thread.
Foraging
Foraging has a maximum time of 5 hours for maximum money, and a minimum of 1 hour to gain anything. During that time, your person can not do anything else. Basically, you're stuck there until you're done. The rates are:
Spring: 125g per hours
Summer: 250G per hour
Fall: 150G per hour
Winter: See Mining
Wood Cutting:
20 Peices per Hour
5 hours Max
Fishing
This is sometimes more profitable than Foraging and you must buy Fishing Rod and a fishing permit for 50 G from the Mayor each season. Trust me, I'll check. The rates for fishing are:
1 Hr= 75 G
Max= All Hrs
Mining
Mining is the most profitable of the three. It is only open during the winter, and requires a shovel and pick. The rates are:
1 Hr=300 G
Max=4 Hrs
Thats 1200 gold a Day
Please note that to collect your money you must have actually waited for real time*, As in one actual hour in the real world equals 1 game hour= The amount of money you'll get from sellling.
*No Posting- So and So worked for 4 hours* without actually waiting 4 hours
Library/Postal Office/Preist
These three don't need to pay taxes, And get about 100G a Week since they don't get a standard amount of money per day from selling things, Plus Your Tax Free!
Taxes:
250G On a week that had a sale
150G On a week that didn't have a sale
And on Friday, you need to take the taxes to the Post Office.
